Rallying For Veterans: The Museum Welcomes The Rally Road Trip

April 27, 2019

One of the Museum’s greatest privileges is to serve veterans. When Boot Campaign reached out to us to seek support for their Second Annual Raley Road Trip, we were excited to help out.

Ricky Raley rode from Dallas, Texas to Fort Pierce, Florida, beginning April 13 and culminating at the Museum for a warm welcome on April 27.
His ride was to raise funds and awareness to help veterans overcome the invisible wounds of war and combat veteran suicide.

The Wrap Up Event at the Museum included The Monster Mash on our O-Course, where teams
of four competed for the winning title. Not for the faint of heart, the workout consisted of sit-

ups, burpees, pushups, air squats, and plenty of running in addition to taking on the O-Course.

Live music and food trucks ushered Ricky and his support crew in at noon, along with his team of supporting veterans.

The Museum welcomed this opportunity to support the health and wellness of our veterans. Thank you to all for helping us make this event so successful. Special thanks to event sponsors, including Phillip Busch of Southern Eagle Distributing, as well as Dr. Jim and Helen Shafer who hosted an elegant outdoor sponsor dinner at their home.
